Bosnia and Herzegovina Became EU Candidates

On December 13, the European Union granted the Balkan state a new status

As of today, 1 more state claims membership in the European Union — Bosnia and Herzegovina has received the status of a candidate member of the EU. Ukraine supports the European aspirations of the state because the democratic path is always the right one.

Earlier it was assumed that the decision would be made on December 15. Through the state's efforts, the decision was made a month earlier. However, like other candidates, Bosnia and Herzegovina will have to fulfil a number of requirements necessary for the reform of the state and the start of accession negotiations.

We remind you that Ukraine became a candidate for EU membership on June 23, simultaneously with Georgia and Moldova.
