In recent years, the Ukrainian government has been more open to businessmen from other countries and in every possible way promotes the participation of foreign investors in the country's market. Thus, already today we see an increase in investment in agricultural land.

The biggest breakthrough of the country's government was the law On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on the conditions of agricultural land transactions. This means that from now on, agricultural land can be bought and sold. Since Ukraine is a country with a developing economy, land plots can be bought here quite cheaply.

In accordance with the new law, until 2024, every Ukrainian has the right to buy land with a maximum aggregate area of 100 hectares. In 2024, a referendum will be held, at which the conditions and results of the law will be reviewed. After the referendum in 2024, the estimated maximum land area for the ass will be 1,000 hectares.

Today foreigners do not have the right to buy land in Ukraine. However, this may change after the 2024 referendum.
