On August 19, at 11:30 a. m., the Russians hit the centre of Chernihiv with a ballistic missile. The explosion was in the city centre — on a square of drama theatre. The spectators in the theatre that morning were not injured because they hid in the bomb shelter in the first minute of the air raid announcement.
It is worth noting that on August 19, Ukrainian orthodox christians celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord. And during the Russian attack, many Ukrainians were going from the church.
