According to the head of the State administration of the Lviv region, after a meeting with company representatives on November 24, Ukmot plans to build an oil refinery in the Lviv region.
Maksym Kozhytskyi said that the company is considering two sites for future construction but did not say which ones. The first part of the investment in the facility will amount to €12 million; it is planned to create 40 jobs. Second, the oil terminal, which envisages investments of €10 million and the creation of 20 jobs, can be built only with the changes in the Ukrainian legislation considered by the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian government apparatus.
Last year, Unimot launched a network of gas stations under the AVIA brand on the Ukrainian market. Thus, the oil terminal will provide it and other consumers of Ukraine with fuel, diversify their sources.
Note that Unimot is a subsidiary of the Polish multi-investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/energy/" rel="dofollow">energy concern UNIMAT S.A., one of the largest independent producers of fuel, gas, and electricity on the Polish market.
