Countries to which Ukraine Has Assisted in 2021

Ukraine saved Poland in an emergency case

On December 6th, the National power company UkrEnergo has again provided emergency assistance to the neighboring state. The Polish transmission system operator Polish power grids requested the Ukrainian power company to transmit electricity. Ukraine immediately responded to the official request and operated from 9 am to 4 pm. Every hour of emergency assistance was equivalent to 135 MW. It should be noted that this type of assistance is not considered to be a commercial import and is agreed upon by the treaty between the EU member states of ENTSO-E.

In turn, Poland supplies Ukraine with coal. Charcoal supplies help power plants to operate. The last import of raw materials was scheduled for the end of November 2021.

In addition to the Polish state, Kazakhstan and South Africa import coal to Ukraine. This support is also conditioned by contracts between countries.

Ukraine helped manage Turkey’s forest fires

This summer, more than 1.500 hectares of forest were burned in Turkey. The Ukrainian government responded immediately by sending rescue aircraft to Turkey. So two planes with a crew onboard for hours helped fight a fire and control 58 fire hotspots. Ukraine sent experienced brigades that had previously participated in rescue operations in mountainous areas of Georgia, Israel, and other countries.

As we can see, the Ukrainian state is ready to accept assistance and provide it in all possible ways.
