Deputy minister of defence of the Czech Republic, Daniel Blazhkovets, announced the adoption of such a decision after the International defense industry forum. During the forum, representatives of the Czechia and the Ukrainian delegation established points of further cooperation, including the development of joint projects, the start of new collaboration and the issuance of licences to produce Czech weapons.
The main processes currently are obtaining the permissions for the production of weapons to the Ukrainian side from Česká zbrojovka and Sellier & Bellot. The receipt of these licenses by Kyiv indicates the beginning of a show on the territory of Ukraine of small-calibre ammunition and assault rifles CZ Bren 2. In addition, Blazhkovets said that assistance to Ukraine in the military sphere has passed to a new stage: from supplies to long-term intensive military-industrial cooperation of military concerns.
"However, we want to advance this cooperation even further," Daniel Blazhkovets.
It is reported that Ukrainian-Czech defence cooperation will be aimed at producing polymer cartridges for large-calibre ammunition, armoured vehicles, infantry combat vehicles and aircraft. The Czechia can also supply Tatra chassis for heavy-duty trucks.
