Demining of the Agricultural Lands in Ukraine

Over the past 7 days, Ukrainian sappers have examined and cleared more than 3.000 ha of land from Russian mines

The Ministry of economy of Ukraine reports that over the past week, Ukrainian sappers and specialised pyrotechnic teams have explored more than 5.000 ha of agricultural land. More than 3.000 ha have been cleared. In total, 470.000 ha of agricultural land have been demined in Ukraine. Over the next 4 years, these lands will be restored and, as the Minister of economy of Ukraine put it, "returned to economic life."

Since the level of mine coverage of territories is not the same in all de-occupied territories, Ukrainian sappers show different but consistently high results every day.

Ukraine is an agricultural country, so the restoration of our fields is a top priority for sappers. As of June 26, Ukrainian engineers have explored and cleared about 21% of such land in the Kharkiv region, almost 24% in the Kherson region and more than 67% in the Mykolaiv region.
