Denmark Announces €33.5 Million Aid Package for Ukraine’s Vulnerable Populations

The Danish government is set to provide 250 million Danish kroner (approximately €33.5 million) to address the urgent basic needs of the most vulnerable groups in Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression

This development was confirmed by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dan Jorgensen, the Danish Minister for International Development, highlighted the focus of the aid: "With this new support package, we are dedicated to providing urgent humanitarian aid and protection that can save lives of the most vulnerable groups in Ukraine."

The aid package is directed towards delivering essential emergency assistance, including food, medicine, water, and housing solutions for those most affected by the conflict.

Special attention within this initiative is being given to the protection of the most susceptible segments of the Ukrainian population, acknowledging the heightened risks they face.

The United Nations reports that, more than two years into the large-scale Russian invasion, around 15 million people, or 40% of Ukraine's population, require humanitarian aid. The most profoundly impacted include women, children, and individuals displaced by the ongoing military actions.
