Russian Attempt to Destructure the Roots of the Ukrainian People

On 12 May, Russian missiles struck a protected area of the island of Khortytsya

The island of Khortytsya is located in the Zaporizhzhia region. It is the largest object in the river Dnipro and historically important land — the homeland of the Ukrainian cossacks. But even in this part of Ukrainian territory, the Russian occupiers decided to touch with their deadly missiles.

At 10 a.m., an enemy missile landed in the protected area. This was reported by the press secretary of the regional state administration of Zaporizhzhia Ivan Arefiev. Note that the area of the national reserve is a zone that Ukrainians have never touched. In this territory, any human intervention is prohibited because it contains centuries-old trees and rare plants. The iron of the Russian Federation violated all laws. The enemy missile formed a deep pit on the island from a blow and also caused a large-scale fire. No one was hurt.

It is not the first time that the occupiers want to disfigure Khortytsya — a symbol of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the banner of statehood. On April 21, the Russians fired two missiles at once on the island. The first missile damaged the bridge leading to the island. The second missile fell on the sanatorium.

Russians once again prove their lack of education and their desire to destroy the Ukrainian people and any memories of them. Even the Czech parliament officially recognised this.
