During a meeting in Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andrzej Duda discussed a number of mutually important issues for Poland and Ukraine: strengthening cooperation in the field of national security defence, protection of rights and freedoms.
"Today we held fruitful talks with Mr. President, discussed the whole range of issues of our bilateral relations, the joint defence of the freedoms of our peoples, Europe as a whole. Of course, we talked about defence, security, support, shelters for Ukrainians, our children in Poland," Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference.
The president of Ukraine noted that assistance from Poland is provided not only by the measure that each of us sees but much more. Many security issues are not disclosed but are done quietly but effectively.
“Many issues that we can talk about are issues that really need sometimes silence, where Poland helps us a lot. I am grateful for this silence, but the most important thing is that our enemy hear this silence later," president Zelenskyy.
The president of Ukraine thanked Andrzej Duda for the help to the Ukrainian people that his country and his people give to our state.
"We appreciate the help of Polish friends in the treatment of our wounded defenders and the readiness to join in the restoration of the rehabilitation centre in Borodyanka, Kyiv region, destroyed by the occupiers. I thank Andrzej Duda and the entire Polish people for their support, which greatly strengthens us from the first minutes of resisting the Russian invasion," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We are here together, we are here so that not only our brothers in Ukraine see that we are with them not only in spirit, we not only support them in various ways, but we are also physically present here as a Polish delegation — with representatives of the Polish government, with my employees, with the ministers, and together we celebrate this holiday, together we show that Ukraine is free, that Ukraine is sovereign, that Ukraine is independent and that Ukraine is fighting against Russian aggression, fighting for peace and the return of justice, peace in the world, international law," emphasized Andrzej Duda.
At the end of the press conference, the grand opening of the Alley of Courage took place: the alley is located on the high bank of the Dnipro, and the first minted name, is the name of our friend Andrzej Duda.
