According to the Kyiv city state administration, the purpose of the new parking systems is to attract the attention of people from the suburbs visiting Kyiv to use public transport.
Today 5 parks have been launched in such districts of Kyiv:
- Vydubychi
- Akademhorodok
- Syrets
- Chervonyi Khutir
- Prospekt Hlushkova
Also, construction invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/start-a-project/" rel="dofollow">projects are being developed to create convenient parking lots in the central districts of Kyiv:
- Volodymyrska street
- European square
- the area of the Alexander hospital
Also, provided information about the planned construction of underground and surface multi-storey parking.
According to statistics, a third of cars in traffic jams are cars looking for a parking space. Therefore, the city authorities launched a program to harmonize parking space, carriageways, and areas not intended for parking, but used for such a purpose. This includes sidewalks and walking areas where, in corrective and preventive measures, hemispheres, bollards, and brake posts are not installed. Thus, we have already secured 80 km of pedestrian zones.
