On December 16, Russia sent 76 missiles against Ukraine. 72 Kh-101, Kalibr, Kh-22 cruise missiles and 4 Kh-59/Kh-31P guided missiles. 60 of them were destroyed by Ukrainian air defence. The rest ended up in residential buildings and energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
According to Ukrenergo, damage to critical infrastructure has led to the loss of more than 50% of the consumption of the Ukrainian energy system. A state of emergency has been declared. What it means: Due to damage to critical infrastructure, the ability to produce and transport energy has been lost. Thus, the country has no electricity, water, telephone and internet, as well as heating. The subway stopped in Kyiv; Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions are completely de-energized.
Utility emergency service teams worked the whole day, and on the morning of December 17, electricity, water supply, and the internet appeared again. Subway launched in Kyiv. The emergency services of Ukraine are our heroes.
