Ukraine-USAID negotiations on ensuring energy stability in the heating season and after the war

On August 8, was held a Ukraine-USAID meeting regarding the protection of Ukraine's energy system during the war, preparation for the new heating season, and the creation of reliable energy infrastructure in the years to come. Oleksandr Kubrakov, the representative of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine, the US ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, the head of USAID Theodora Dell and specialists in the field of energy of the USA took part in the negotiations. The goal of the participants in the negotiations was to create a joint project that would support the energy sustainability of Ukrainian cities and villages that suffer the most from Russian shelling.

We remind you that from October to December 2022, due to the Russian shelling of Ukrainian power grids, Ukrainians were without electricity for 5 weeks.
