On May 18, the mayor Dmytro Orlov announced the kidnapping of the chief of the fire and rescue detachment Vitalii Troyan. The Russian occupiers broke into the office of the city's chief rescuer, removed Troyan, and sealed the office. The whereabouts of the Ukrainian are currently unknown.

On May 20, firefighters went to the square near the Palace of Culture, lined up firefighting equipment and turned on the sirens.
"The invaders applied force methods to rescuers who came to support the stolen chief of fire and rescue squad Vitalii Troyan! There is a beating of people and damage to fire-saving equipment!" Dmytro Orlov.
The occupiers arrived very quickly and forcibly dispersed the peaceful rally, beat the rescuers of the fire brigade, and damaged the rescue equipment.
Enerhodar has been under occupation since March, and all this time, citizens have been rallying against Russian occupation arbitrariness. Due to the strong patriotic position of Ukrainians, Russians regularly kidnap city officials, workers of all spheres, and ordinary civilians. For example, on March 20, Enerhodar's deputy Ivan Samovidyuk was kidnapped, and then the local population again rallied against Russian arbitrariness. The occupiers took away passports from Ukrainians to force them to be obedient, but this manipilation does not work with Ukrainians.
We remind you that on April 27, the occupiers in Kherson planned to hold a referendum on the creation of the so-called "Kherson People's Republic", as has already been done in Donetsk and Luhansk. But residents of the city went to a rally with Ukrainian flags and disrupted the referendum.
Ukrainians will not stop showing their Ukrainian position and will not let the Russians forget that everything will be Ukraine! Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Crimea are Ukraine.
