Estonia Launches Analogue of Ukrainian “Diia”

The application for monitoring government services and digital documents calls "mRiik"

On January 18, during an international conference in Davos, the minister of digital transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, and vice-chancellor for the digital development of Estonia, Luukas Kristian Ilves, presented a joint project — mRiik. This is an analogue of the Ukrainian Diia, adapted to the Estonian user and legislation.

Ukraine is ready to share its technologies with all democratic states, and the first to receive the code and UX/UI Diia was Estonia. mRiik will be handed over to testers next month, with a launch scheduled for fall 2023. The quick launch of the app owes much to the fact that mRiik is being written on Diia's unified mobile platform.

USAID director Samantha Power stated that the United States is interested in introducing the Diia digital tools worldwide.
