On March 21, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed changes to law No 8381, which regulates the process of procurement of goods for the provision of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and obliges defence customers to publish information about purchases on Prozorro.
The new transparency in defence procurement applies to all categories of goods (food, clothing), except those belonging to the sphere of state secrets (weapons).
Attention to the issue arose after a company with which the government signed a contract for defence provision created a front company to launder money. Following mass dismissals, allegations and the initiation of an investigation by the National anti-corruption bureau, it was decided to amend the Law on defence procurement.
We remind you that the Ukrainian platform Prozorro is used for all government tenders and is literally translated as "transparent".
