The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, was invited to a farewell ceremony with the Queen of England. The wife of president Zelenskyy will be among 500 heads of state and high guests invited to a memorial service and a VIP reception organized by the newly crowned king. It is reported that a representative of Ukraine will come to England with all guests on the weekend. However, Zelenska will leave England and return to Ukraine immediately after saying goodbye to Elizabeth II on Monday.
The invitation to the funeral and King Charles' reception mean a lot to Ukraine.
"Olena Zelenska's presence is another indication of global support for Ukraine while Russia is isolated. Britain is one of Ukraine's most loyal allies. Her presence at the funeral signifies this friendship and mutual respect," The Sun wrote, referring to a high-ranking interlocutor.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the country on a tragic day. But the head of state does not leave Ukraine as long as Russia is waging a terrible war against it. By the way, Putin was not invited to bid farewell to the Queen.
