The Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine is the second largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world. The state provides 37.6 thousand kilometers of its main gas pipelines to different countries. The organization is reaching a new level, developing relations with Hungary now. Previously, gas was transferred only from Ukraine to Hungary. But this has carried out several technical works and now it is possible to transport fuel in both directions.
This reform of relations is the second example. Previously, the Slovak track was open to both sides. It is noteworthy that a guaranteed gas supply route from Slovakia to Ukraine will be available even in the absence of transit.
Such decisions and changes in exports and imports of significant resources for countries improve economic and friendly relations between countries.
In addition, the opening of the Hungarian route has made it probable for Ukraine to feel security and gas independence from Russia and Belarus. Remind, that previously Ukrainian fuel stability used to depend on them. Direct deliveries of liquefied gas are now open to the Croatian terminal. So, this is a win-win situation for both countries.
