French Post Issued a Stamp With a Portrait of a Ukrainian Girl

The work of the French artist C215 was used for special stamps for the correspondence of France and the Council of Europe

French street artist Christian Gemi, who works under the pseudonym C215, on March 9 completed a yellow-blue mural on the walls of the Paris city hall. The portrait of a Ukrainian girl was written in support of the Ukrainian people, and at the bottom, there is a call from president Zelenskyy to hang in our offices not his portrait but photographs of our children and families.

"I hope, as Sting sang in 1985, that Russians love their children too," C215 wrote on Instagram, inviting Parisians to attend the unveiling of the mural.

Today, September 11 2023, the French post office issued an official postage stamp for correspondence with the Council of Europe, using the portrait of the girl C215. The start of sales took place on September 8 at the Council of Europe building in Strasbourg.

In March 2023, Christian Gemi was in Ukraine and left several of his masterpieces on war-damaged houses in the Kyiv region.
