Volodymyr Zelensky initially built bridges with the new prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, with warmth and respect. Although Meloni leads a league of right-wing and far-right parties, and Berlusconi has long been Putin-oriented, Meloni is leading Italy down a democratic path.
On December 23, the prime minister announced that she wanted to visit Ukraine and plans to personally discuss with Zelenskyy all the upcoming trip details.
"I will call Zelenskyy to state my wishes and organize this trip, which I intend to make in the first months of next year," Georgia Meloni.
We remind you that the previous Italian PM, Mario Draghi was in Kyiv in July with presidents Macron and Scholz.
