According to Bild, Germany is ready to transfer IRIS-T SLM airspace protection systems to Ukraine and is currently under consideration. The range of this air defense is 40 km, and 20 km in height. In total, Ukraine plans to purchase 10 IRIS-T air defense systems.
According to Bild, the systems could be launched in Ukraine in late autumn. As soon as the delivery is approved, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin training in air defense.
It is reported that the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Andrii Melnyk, and minister of foreign affairs Dmytro Kuleba, held talks this week. So far, they have not received a response from the security committee.
Olaf Scholz has repeatedly announced the transfer of heavy weapons to Ukraine, but so far, our country has not received anything necessary. The German chancellor explains this by his unwillingness to provoke Russia's aggression.
