Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated that the convening of a tribunal is necessary to bring the perpetrators to justice. And these are not only those Russians whose hands are literally covered in blood but also the leaders of the program of planned killings of Ukrainians. First of all, according to the head of Germany, president Putin and the Russian minister of foreign affairs Sergei Lavrov must explain themselves.
"All those responsible for these crimes will have to explain themselves. This also applies to soldiers. This also applies to military commanders. And, of course, those who are politically responsible," Frank-Walter Steinmeier for the German news and political magazine Der Spiegel.
We remind you that Steinmeier voiced his regrets about his support for Russia last week. As the German president himself said, "We held on to bridges that Russia no longer believed in."
