The Kharkiv counter-offensive of Ukraine proved to Germany that the Armed Forces of Ukraine masterfully handle weapons. This means that the new equipment from Germany for Ukraine will be used for its intended purpose. Therefore, German defence minister Christine Lambrecht announced for the first time that Germany would transfer 50 Dingo armoured vehicles manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann.
"The courageous and successful conduct of operations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces shows how important it is to quickly provide additional military equipment to Ukraine," Christine Lambrecht.
It is likely that Dingo will be transferred to replace the Fuchs armoured personnel carriers, which were considered for transfer to Ukraine in July. In the same batch, Ukraine will receive 2 MLRS MARS II and 200 shells to them. Crew training will begin this month in Germany.
It is known that the balance of the Bundeswehr is 1.000 Dingo of w models. After Germany and Belgium, Ukraine will become the largest user of this military tool.
We remember that Germany plans to deliver IRIS-T to Ukraine.
