For security reasons, foreign politicians have recently arrived in Ukraine without announcing their visit. The British minister of defence Ben Wallace distinguishes even more: he announced his visit after it occurred.
"Delighted to have visited my good friend Oleksii Reznikov Oleksii Reznikov in Kyiv this week to discuss more military aid and help to Ukraine. Our support to their fight against Russian aggression goes from strength to strength and will continue all through 2023 and beyond!" Ben Wallace.
On the same day, president Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the head of the lower house of the French parliament, Yaël Braun-Pivet. This is the first visit of a parliamentarian to Ukraine.
"The number one topic of our meeting was the illegal holding of sham referenda in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. It is very important that all our partners, all leaders of the civilized world, condemn these fake "referenda" as strongly as possible. We are grateful to France for supporting Ukraine and for a clear position on this issue!" Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
