Indicators of Ukrainian Import/Export for 6 Months

Trade turnover increased by 4% compared to 2022 and brought $49.8 bln to the state budget 

The State customs service of Ukraine reported on half a year of import-export rates in 2023. According to the report, the trade turnover from January to June 2023 increased compared to the same period last year and amounted to $49.8 billion. The State service reports that most of the amount, $30.4 billion, belongs to imports. From Ukraine to export goods worth $19.4 billion. The following goods from Ukraine were in most significant demand:

  • Food products – $11.7 billion;
  • Metals and products from them – $2.1 billion;
  • Transport – $1.6 billion.

The largest importing countries included: China – $3.9 billion, Poland – $2.7 billion and Turkey – $2 billion. Poland, Romania and China became the largest buyers of Ukrainian goods. They export goods worth $2.3 billion, $1.6 billion, and $1.4 billion.

Recall that Russia occupied almost 20% of the country and destroyed almost the entire Donetsk and Luhansk regions, considered sources of coal, iron and manganese ores in Ukraine. In addition, the invaders destroy fields and production of various spheres throughout Ukraine. But as you can see, the country is still alive and doing active business inside and outside.
