Karpaty research and mechanical plant is located in the Lviv region and, since 1970, has been building freight cars, container-tanks, tanks, metal structures and hydraulic jacks. It is engaged in repairing rolling stock and recently discovered a new direction — repairing diesel locomotives.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, Karpaty has produced 291 grain trucks, 35 semi-wagons and 2 hydraulic lift trucks. As of the end of 2022, 554 freight cars were manufactured on the platforms of Karpaty. Work during the war became possible thanks to state support. The state bank Ukrgazbank provided a $4.64 million loan to Karpaty plant. Thus, the plant continued to build wagons at a standard pace and kept all jobs (more than 600 people).
Interesting fact. Karpaty owns a patent for 5 types of 20-foot containers for the logistics of various types of cargo: liquid, bulk, gaseous and even dangerous. All these technologies are registered in the Shipping register of Ukraine.
