It is worth noting that Israel's position on Ukraine has always been ambiguous. This began to manifest itself especially clearly during the war between Russia and Ukraine. The lack of support from a country that is in much the same position as Ukraine is surprising. However, today the Israeli minister of foreign affairs, for the first time, expressed an unequivocal position condemning the killings in Ukraine.
"It is impossible to remain indifferent in the face of horrific images from the city of Bucha near Kyiv, from after the Russian army left. Intentionally harming a civilian population is a war crime, and I strongly condemn it," Yair Lapid, Israeli minister of foreign affairs.
Recall that the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine, Mikhail Brodskyy, expressed his support for Ukraine.
