It’s Time to Meet

Volodymyr Zelenskyy calls on Volodymyr Putin to meet in person

"Meaningful talks about peace and security for Ukraine is Russia’s only chance to reduce the damage from mistakes. It’s time to meet. Time to talk. Time to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine. Otherwise, Russia’s costs will be such that not enough and several generations to rise," said Zelenskyy during a public speech.

The New York Times later published another news that the president of Ukraine was offering to hold a meeting. But Zelenskyy's determination and diplomatic initiative are not enough. Turkish politicians claim that the president of the Russian Federation is not ready for any kind of direct negotiations. Western politicians believe that all the negotiations that have already taken place are no more than a "smokescreen" on the part of the aggressor country.

It seems like the whole world is waiting for this meeting. Switzerland has offered to mediate or host a meeting of the two presidents.

"Switzerland is ready to play the role of facilitator behind the scenes or to accept negotiations. Switzerland combines neutrality and a humanitarian tradition," said confederation president Ignazio Cassis.
