Japanese Architect Designed a Rehabilitation Center in Lviv

Shigeru Ban works on the surgical building of the centre for prosthetics and rehabilitation of victims of the war

On June 30, Lviv Urban Forum was held in Lviv. During the forum, Japanese architect Shigeru Ban presented his project for a surgical department in the future Unbroken rehabilitation centre for war-affected Ukrainians. The surgery centre will be located on 2 underground and 6 ground floors. The main structure of the building will be made without the use of metal: exclusively concrete cores using wooden structures.

Ukraine will get this building free of charge: Shigeru Ban independently launches fundraising for construction. Both Ukrainians and foreigners may donate to the help centre for those who protect Ukraine at the cost of their lives and health.

Shigeru's works include the Fuji Japan Museum in Japan, the Pompidou center and the Seine music museum in France.

We remind you that the Japanese architect Hiroki Matsuura introduced his talent in restoring Irpin.
