Japanese Architect to Rebuild Irpin

Among the 10 cities destroyed by the occupation, urban planner Hiroki Matsuura chose the city of youth Irpen and created a preliminary master plan

Urban architect Hiroki Matsuura arrived in Ukraine and raided cities destroyed by the Russians. Among the candidates were Bucha, Irpin, and the towns of the Chernihiv region. Among the 10 cities that Hiroki Matsura considered as a platform for the realization of his ideas, the architect chose Irpin, Kyiv region.

"I've been to 10 cities in Ukraine. It's the best city I've ever seen. For us urban planners, Irpin is a dream city. I understand why young families are moving here," Matsuura said.

The meeting of the mayor of Irpin Olexandr Markushin and Hiroki Matsuura ended with the agreement to create a master plan of the revived Irpin, taking into account the peculiarities of the settlement.

Volodymyr Spiva, the head of the investment group, has been appointed manager of the Irpen reconstruction project.
