A historic event took place today — Kosovo signed an application for membership in the European Union. The state said that this step brings the state closer to the dream of those national heroes who sacrificed their lives for a future in which their brothers and sisters live in a free democratic country.
Kosovo resident Vyosa Osmani said that the country's decision to integrate into the EU is unshakable. Now, probably, the state will receive several requirements necessary for obtaining the status of a candidate member of the EU. By analogy with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which yesterday became a candidate for joining the European Union.
The membership application is taking place amid strained relations between Serbia and Kosovo. The Serbian President also said that some EU states do not see Kosovo as part of the Commonwealth.
