The streaming service, together with the House of Europe fund for supporting Ukrainian culture, which is funded by the European Union, is implementing a program to support Ukrainian filmmakers. The scholarship is available to every Ukrainian who has a plan and talent. The fund can help with the implementation of projects in the areas of showreel, equipment costs, travel, courses, team fees, and more. The first online sessions will start in autumn. Ukrainians will learn how to pitch Netflix films at filmmaking sessions and a workshop.
"Today the world should see even more Ukrainian art. Because it really is incredible! Well, on behalf of all Ukrainians, I want to remind you again that Netflix is fire," minister of culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.
We remind you that Netflix has bought the rights to Oleh Sentsov's film Rhinoceros.
