First grant for war-affected businesses
Teahouse, a Ukrainian tea producer and supplier, became the first company to receive a government grant under the updated “Grants for Processing Enterprises” program.
-
In July 2025, a massive Russian missile strike on the Dnipro destroyed Teahouse’s production facilities, equipment, and around 100 tons of tea.
-
The company applied for funding to restore operations.
-
The application was approved, and the grant will be issued shortly.
The updated program allows businesses to receive up to ₴16 million in grants to restore war-damaged enterprises, though the amount cannot exceed documented losses.
Support for the agricultural sector
From October 1 to October 20, 2025, Ukrainian farmers can apply for partial compensation through the State Agrarian Register (DAR).
What the program covers:
-
Up to 25% reimbursement of costs for:
-
building or reconstructing cattle farms,
-
installing milking parlors,
-
or constructing facilities for processing animal by-products.
-
Conditions for compensation:
-
Projects must have started after February 24, 2022.
-
Facilities must have been put into operation between January 1 and September 30, 2025.
This ensures that support targets newly built or war-damaged projects, helping restore and stimulate the agricultural sector.
Strategic importance
These measures are part of the government’s wider effort to sustain Ukraine’s economy during wartime by:
-
restoring enterprises hit by Russian attacks,
-
ensuring stability in the agro-industrial sector,
-
and attracting new investment into reconstruction projects.
