The Russian invasion forced many women with children to leave their home country. According to the UN, 12 million people left Ukraine. More than 5 million have left to neighbouring countries. Some are trying to "start anew", some are waiting for the liberation of their cities from the occupiers, staying abroad for the safety of children, etc. Recently there are precise calculations of people who plan to stay in a foreign country forever and who will return home.
Ukrainian sociological group Rating surveyed refugees. According to the results of the survey, the majority of people want to return to Ukraine. The figures compared with October and July research. Also, the number of those who will return after the war or will not have decreased related to mid-summer. In the digital indicators, Ukrainians plan:
- Return home soon — 21%;
- Return, but later — 19%;
- Return after victory over Russia — 45%;
- Stay in the new country — 6%.
This means that 94% of Ukrainians believe and wait for the Russian aggressor to fall into its own trap and cease to pose a threat to Ukraine.
