New territories announced liberated by the Ukrainian forces in the south of Ukraine. According to the military reports from the Kherson region and confirmed by president Zelenskyy, the settlements of Lyubymivka, Khreshchenivka, Zolota Balka, Bilyaivka, Ukrainka, Velyka and Mala Oleksandrivka, and Davydiv Brid were liberated.
Bila Tserkva, the city 80km away from the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, was attacked with kamikaze-drones Shahed-136 over the night; there were 6 explosions in total, objects of infrastructure were hit, and 1 person was injured. Oleksii Kuleba, the head of the Kyiv region RMA.

- Zaporizhia city centre and the outskirts were shelled this morning. Infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Information about casualties is being clarified. The anti-aircraft defence forces have worked;
- The self-styled authorities of the occupied territories of the region began to build "state border";
- The Zaporizhia Regional centre for disease control and prevention of the Ministry of health of Ukraine reports that the radiation background in the Zaporizhia region remains unchanged and does not threaten the population's life and health.

The head of the Donetsk RMA, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported this morning that the most hostile situation is in the directions of Horlivka and Donetsk city; there are 1 killed and 6 injured civilians over the past 24 hours.

The president of the Russian Federation, Putin, signed laws on annexing the Kherson, Zaporizhia, Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. Also, so-called "heads of regions" were appointed: Denis Pushylin — Donetsk region (DPR), Evgeny Balitsky — Zaporizhia region, Volodymyr Saldo — Kherson region, Leonid Pasechnik — Luhansk region (LPR).
President Zelensky had a call with Joe Biden. "I talked with the US president Joe Biden. We discussed additional sanctions, the situation on the battlefield, the importance of preserving the export of agricultural products by sea, and coordinated efforts before joint international events. The international community should give a decisive joint response to the brazen attempts to annex Ukrainian territories. I thank the president of the United States and the entire American people for their continued defence and financial support. I was pleased to hear the words of President Biden that our military inspires the whole world, and our people inspire the whole world. And this is true: our victory in this war will show how much Ukraine can give to the global strength of freedom, the global strength of democracy," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Earlier, a new $625 million package of aid with 4 HIMARS and associated ammunition was announced. Since the beginning of Russia's invasion, the US has committed more than $16.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine.
