On March 17, the EU Commission executive economy vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis announced that a second MFA transfer is expected next week to help Ukraine.
"The EU is committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as needed. We expect to make the second MFA+ payment next week — €1.5 bln in emergency support to help Ukraine meet immediate needs," Valdis Dombrovskis.
The first tranche of €3 billion was provided to Ukraine in January 2023, the remaining assistance packages will be provided monthly in the amount of €1.5 billion from March 2023. The benefit period is 10 years.
