Exports of goods from Ukraine in 2021 reached a record amount of $68.2 billion for the first time in 10 years.
The minister of economy noted that in 2021 the turnover of all goods amounted to $141.5 billion, which is 36.7% more than in 2020. The value of exports in absolute terms increased by $19.05 billion compared to 2020.
According to Sviridenko, Ukraine has comparable record export figures of this level in 2011 ($68.3 billion) and in 2012 ($68.8 billion).
For comparison, in 2020, with the total turnover of goods and services at the level of $119.4 billion, the negative balance of investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/accounting/" rel="dofollow">accounting from $3.7 billion to $680 million. At the same time, for 9 months of 2021, the total turnover of goods and services amounted to $111.8 billion, and $443.2 million was proposed.
Sviridenko — minister of economy explains that when Ukrainian producers sell their goods for export, Ukraine receives an inflow of foreign exchange, foreign financing of import costs without destabilizing the foreign exchange market and collects reserves for the economy's stability.
The minister of economy said that there are also revenues from the massive mass budget and opportunities to finance social spending and development programs.
According to her Ukraine, the foreign trade balance (goods and services) will be announced on February 15.
