According to the Belgian media L'Echo, the state has allocated €90 million to transfer weapons to Ukraine. The package will include strategically important weapons: AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles, which can be used for several types of anti-aircraft missile systems, in particular, NASAMS. Also, Ukrainian rifle divisions can count on SCAR rifles and machine guns — 5.56 Minimi and 12.7 mm M2. The exact number of these weapons is not specified. In cooperation with Norway and France, Mistral air defence systems will be transferred: Belgium will transfer installations, and Norway and France — ammunition for them.
The state will not transfer Leopard tanks because they have not had these tanks since 2014.
The cost of this package exceeds the total amount of all packages that Belgium previously transferred to Ukraine during the 11 months of the war.
