The state green course of Ukraine includes many points: the development of bioenergy, the reduction of plastic consumption, a new procedure for the processing and disposal of waste, and preferential incentives for citizens to switch to electric vehicles.
On June 1, a law came into force that abolished the pension when registering a car, which made the process cheaper. There are no VAT and export duties for such a car. The excise tax on green cars was also returned, and it is €1 per 1 kWh of battery capacity, that is, for any electric car, the maximum excise tax will be €120.
Those drivers who have not yet decided to opt for an electric car will continue to pay a fee to the pension fund (3-5% of the cost of the vehicle), VAT, export duty, and excise duty.
