Canada has developed a program for Ukrainian refugees who have relatives in Ukraine. The family reunification program will allow Ukrainians who are in Canada as temporary residents to reunite with their families in Canada.
"We continue to provide unwavering support to families divorced as a result of this conflict, including through this family reunification pathway that will help Ukrainian families stay together as they rebuild their lives in their new communities in Canada," the minister of immigration of Canada Sean Fraser.
The program is still being developed and will be ready for an official announcement by mid-autumn this year. It will be funded separately from other programs for Ukrainians in Canada and will be relevant for 12 months.
