The "accession" procedure will take place through forced illegal pseudo-referendums in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. It is indicative that the consent of the Ukrainian people is not necessary for holding "referendums": the ballots have already started to be printed, and most likely will be filled by the same people who printed them.
On June 1, the Russian propaganda channel RIA Novosti quoted Sergei Tsekov, a member of the international committee of the federal security council: "I absolutely agree that these regions should be with Russia. I think it could happen in a much bigger way. I think that all the territories controlled by Russia, they have a very good chance to be reunited with Russia." According to Tsekov, the accession will be "quite fast, within a year."
The occupiers blocked the exit from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Thus, Ukrainians cannot leave cities where Russians have taken away their rights, passports and forces them to live under the barrel of guns.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a counter-offensive in the Kherson region and secured their positions there. Russia will no longer get a single centimeter of Ukrainian land.
