SECI: Businessmen Should Invest in Ukraine Without Waiting for the War’s End

The most significant demand for private investors is currently in the energy, transport and logistics sectors of Ukraine

The head of the SECI, Michael Facekas, said that investments in the post-war recovery of Ukraine in the perspective of the next 10 years could amount to several trillion dollars.

"The interest in Ukraine is very high now because everyone understands what huge amount of work on its restoration is expected in the near future. I am not ready to name the amount of potential investments, but it can amount to several trillion dollars over many years", Michael Facekas.

The head of the program emphasised that SECI is currently creating a preparatory base for further investment in the restoration of the road, transport and energy sectors of Ukraine, and there are already a number of potential interested businessmen here.

"We see the interest of many international companies that are European and global market leaders in their fields, such as Plasser&Theurer, Andritz, Umdasch, Frequentis and Kirchdorfer," comments Facekas.

According to the SECI coordinator, you should not wait until the end of the war, and you should start investing in your industry now. First, you can begin with humanitarian projects, then according to your immediate business interest.
