Ukraine Rises 5 Positions in Global Reputation Ranking

RepCore Nations 2025 ranks Ukraine 26th among the world’s 60 largest economies, strengthening its global image and investment appeal

Ukraine Moves Into the Top 30

Ukraine has improved its global reputation ranking, moving up five positions to 26th place among the world’s 60 largest economies. The results come from the RepCore Nations 2025 report, prepared by international consulting firm Reputation Lab.

The study, based on surveys in 21 countries, measures how national economies are perceived internationally.

Key Findings

  • Ukraine’s score: 51.6 points — rated “Average,” but significantly higher than its rational indicators of 43.2.

  • Perception: Ukraine inspires admiration, respect, and trust globally, outperforming expectations given wartime conditions.

  • Human capital as foundation: leadership, education, friendliness, respect for human rights, and international responsibility drive Ukraine’s positive image.

  • G7 perspective: Ukraine’s reputation rating is higher than the average for the world’s largest economies.

International Breakdown

  • Strong reputation: United Kingdom.

  • Moderate reputation: Canada, Germany, France, Japan, Turkey, Italy, the US, Poland, and India.

These countries represent the most favorable business and investment opportunities for Ukraine.

Economic Impact of Reputation

Globally, Reputation Lab notes:

  • Each +1 point in reputation typically generates a 7.2% increase in tourism revenues;

  • Each point also correlates with a 1% increase in foreign direct investment (FDI).

Although war conditions limit these effects, global demand for Ukraine remains strong and is expected to accelerate post-war.

Implications for Ukrainian Business

A stronger global reputation directly supports business and investment by enabling:

  • Easier market access in partner countries;

  • Higher trust from foreign investors;

  • Faster scaling of Ukrainian companies abroad;

  • Growing willingness to invest and buy Ukrainian goods, which rose by 4 points year-on-year.

Expert View

“The RepCore Nations 2025 analysis shows that Ukraine’s reputation has strengthened. The international community admires the country’s values and resilience. Such a positive perception is both a source of pride and a basis for improving Ukraine’s position in the world, creating new opportunities for cooperation and economic growth,”
