Secretary General of the Council of Europe Came to Kyiv

On April 3, Marija Pejcinovic Buric met with the representative of the MFA of Ukraine to highlight the topics of Russia's responsibility for crimes against Ukraine

Deputy MFA of Ukraine, Emine Dzhepparova reported on Twitter about the arrival of the secretary general of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejcinovic Buric, to Kyiv. The parties discussed the methods of bringing Russia and everyone personally responsible for crimes against our state and people to justice.

We remind you that on February 23, 2023, the anniversary of Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine, representatives of the Council of Europe, including Marija Pejcinovic Buric, made a joint statement calling on Russia to stop its aggression against Ukraine, withdraw its troops and personnel from our territory.

"Once again, we urge the Russian Federation to immediately halt its aggression and withdraw its occupation forces from the territory of Ukraine. We remain determined to support our Member State, Ukraine, its Government, and we stand in solidarity with the courageous people of Ukraine."

"The Council of Europe is providing its support to Ukraine on accountability and resilience and is ready to play its part in co-ordination with other international mechanisms for an effective and comprehensive accountability and compensation system which prevents impunity and protects victims' rights."

We remind you that today to Kyiv also came vice-chancellor, federal minister of economics and climate protection of Germany Robert Habeck
