Security Measures for Journalists in Ukraine

Journalists from Ukraine and other countries cannot enter to Irpin, Kyiv region

Since the beginning of the war, the Russian occupiers have not adhered to international rules of combat. The enemies have attacked Ukrainian and foreign journalists. Thus, only from 7 to 13 March, three media workers were killed. Of these, one is a Ukrainian journalist and two foreign correspondents. There are also wounded news and photo reporters.

Drawing attention to the fact that most of the tragedies occurred in Irpin, the state authorities closed the city. So, Irpin is closed to journalists for the duration of active hostilities.

The photo depicts one of the dead journalists — a 51-year-old correspondent of The New York Times, a US citizen Brent Renaud. Eternal memory.
