Earlier, we reported that the trial in the Hague in the case of a downed 2014 Malaysian passenger plane over the territory of the occupied Donetsk region will be held on November 17 or December 15. But the court probably decided not to delay the case any longer and announced on Twitter that the verdict will be announced on November 17.
The communication says that the court in the Hague will be ready to render a preliminary decision on a high-profile international case involving the Russian Federation and Ukrainian territories. It is assumed that the decision will take at least half a day. Therefore, the session will begin in the afternoon. The hearing ended in June 2022. On the dock are Russian citizens and a Ukrainian who supported the occupation of Ukrainian territories.
Let us recall that Australia and the Netherlands have initiated legal proceedings at the International Civil Aviation Organization. They accused Russia of killing Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.
The tragedy occurred in 2014. Terrorists, calling themselves the Donetsk People's Republic, with the help of Russian forces, shot down a Boeing 777 flight Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur over the territory of the Donbas. All 298 people on board were killed. The investigation established that the plane was shot down with Russian Buk weapons.
The case and the first manifestation of Russia as an aggressor with a duration of 8 years may soon end.
