China is interested in deepening cooperation with Ukraine in the field of space

Meeting on December 2, 2021

Representatives of the Ukrainian space agency (SSA) and the Chinese national space administration (CNSA) held a meeting on cooperation in space.

It is noted that the meeting was held online on December 2, 2021, between the head of the SSA Volodymyr Taftai and the head of the CNSA Zhang Kejian.

The meeting was attended by the Chinese ambassador in Ukraine — Fan Xianrong and the сharge d'affaires of Ukraine to the People's Republic of China Zhanna Leshchinskaya.

The heads of space agencies informed about the current development of space industries in Ukraine and China and considered topical issues of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the space sector.

As a result of the meeting, the heads of space agencies noted all the advantages for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and China in the space industry. They expressed interest in further expanding it within mutually beneficial" rel="dofollow">projects.

October 2, 2020 Meeting

On October 2 last year, a meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese subcommittee on cooperation in the field of space between the governments of Ukraine and Сhina took place.

The meeting resulted in the signing of the program of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the space industry for 2021-2025, which consists of 69 joint projects for a total of more than $70 million.

The parties signed an agreement to establish a joint space science laboratory.

Ukraine and China also agreed to strengthen the exchange of information on the space activities of the two countries and inform each other about the status of implementation of the topics of the cooperation program, to solve problems arising in implementing the program to ensure its performance.
