The Ambassador of the UK Visited Lviv

Melinda Simmons and her team arrived in the western pearl of Ukraine, visited a modular town for displaced people and a cemetery with AFU soldiers

On March 27, the team of the British Embassy in Ukraine, led by their ambassador Melinda Simmons, arrived in Lviv. This city, at the extreme point of the country, currently has the most significant number of internally displaced persons, and for security reasons, Ukrainian and international modular towns are mostly built here.

Melinda Simmons, in a team with the mayor of the city Andrii Sadovy, opened a modular town for Ukrainian refugees whose homes were destroyed by Russian artillery and drones. This town was built and equipped with the joint funds of Great Britain and funds.

Ms Simmons visited the warehouse with generators that Poland and Great Britain brought to Ukraine in cooperation with the Red Cross. This equipment is necessary for restoring critical infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regions until the post-war reconstruction of our state is completed.

At the end of the diplomatic visit, Melinda Simmons and Andrii Sadovy visited the Lychakiv cemetery, where heroes of Ukraine fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are buried.
