The Embassy of Ukraine in Germany Switched Off the Light in Support of Ukraine

As a sign of solidarity with the de-energized Ukraine, the embassy turned off the evening lighting of the building

Due to Russian missiles and Iranian Shaheeds, the energy system of Ukraine has been damaged by more than 40%. Rolling blackouts have been introduced across Ukraine, as the surviving energy infrastructure is unable to provide light to all homes and businesses. Every day, for at least 8 hours, every Ukrainian sits without power, which means without heat and an elementary opportunity to make tea.

To support Ukraine, our embassy in Germany refused evening coverage.

"As a sign of solidarity with all of Ukraine, which today is often left without electricity due to Russian bombing; with our warriors of light — power engineers; with Germany, which has also switched to saving mode — we turn off the evening lighting of the building of the Ukrainian embassy in Germany," ambassador of Ukraine in Germany Oleksii Makeev.

"The light is with us. And the yellow-blue flag," the ambassador added.

As soon as Ukraine wins the war, the embassy will turn on the lights again, Zelenskyy will go to Crimea, and Paul Massaro will shave his beard. And everything will be Ukraine.
