The EU Allocates €17.4 Mln for the Digitalisation of Ukraine

The “DT4UA” project is intended to ensure the stable development of public services in Ukraine

On February 20, the government portal of Ukraine announced the launch of the Digital transformation for Ukraine project by the EU. Under DT4UA, €17.4 million has been allocated to the following areas of digitalisation in Ukraine:

  • Diia's work and distribution;
  • Setting up information exchange between state registers and organisations of Ukraine;
  • Optimisation of the electronic identification system according to EIDAS standards;
  • Revision of the mechanism of e-management in the field of criminal cases of the court.

“Despite the full-scale war of Russia, Ukraine demonstrates one of the most dynamic digital transformation processes worldwide. Our duty is to help ensure the continuous development of digital services in Ukraine. These services required during the war remain relevant in the recovery process. That is why the European Union supports Ukraine in improving the provision of digital services and e-government,” the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine Matti Maasikas.
